Meet the Hosts of the FOCUS on Travel Artist Reception

Focus Real Estate
Nov 20 4 minutes read

As we celebrate the FOCUS on Travel exhibit, we're excited to spotlight the FOCUS Real Estate agents hosting this special event: Pierre Vulliez, Neathery Brenzel, and Ruben Montano-Lopez. These agents bring not only their expertise in real estate but also a passion for art, community, and connection.

We asked each of them a few questions about their thoughts on the exhibit and the importance of supporting local artists. Here's what they had to say:

Pierre Vulliez

What stands out to you about the artwork in this exhibit?

"The still photographs on display evoke both the consistency of nature and the endless interpretations the human eye can draw from it.

An iceberg floating in glacial waters might resemble thousands of others, yet—like clouds in the sky—it is ever-changing and inspires countless perspectives.

A tree's roots, nestled in a blanket of crimson leaves, remind me of the five phalanges of a human hand. The star-like shape of a blade of grass or the strictly vertical lines of white birch trees provide opportunities for imagination to wander—or remain grounded.”

What significance is there to having artwork displayed in the office?

"Supporting local artists has a special significance, as their creations are often deeply rooted in the community. That connection makes their work both meaningful and inspiring.

It’s more than just having beautiful art on the walls—it’s about celebrating the stories and inspirations that come from our own backyard. This connection makes our space feel vibrant and alive.”

Neathery Brenzel

Do you have a personal connection to the type of artwork in this exhibit?

"Absolutely. I’m a huge fan of black-and-white glossy photography—it’s timeless and elegant. One of my favorite photographers is Ansel Adams, whose black-and-white nature shots are iconic.

I’ve always had glossy black-and-white photographs hanging in my home. And the vibrant nature photography in this exhibit reminds me of Andrew Goldsworthy, another one of my favorite artists, known for his striking and colorful works.”

Why is supporting the arts and community important to you?

"Being part of a community is where I feel happiest—it’s just how I’m wired. My family is its own little community, and I cherish the sense of connection and richness that comes from belonging to something bigger.

That’s why I actively support and engage with my local community. I feel incredibly fortunate to live in a community that’s so full of substance and creativity.”

Ruben Montano-Lopez

What do you enjoy most about hosting art exhibitions in the office?

"I love how hosting art exhibitions enriches the work environment. It brings a creative energy that you don’t often find in an office space.

The current pieces on display really connect us to nature—but in ways that aren’t always accessible by simply stepping outside. Whether it’s the unique locations highlighted or the perspective offered by the artists, this exhibit opens up new ways of seeing the world.

It’s amazing to experience novel settings or to gain a deeper appreciation for familiar ones through the artists' eyes. How great is that?!"
