The much-anticipated SLOG is almost here, and we at FOCUS Real Estate are thrilled to be a part of this exciting community event! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 7th, at 10 AM and join us at 69 Sedgwick Street for a day filled with fun, fitness, and festivities.

What is the SLOG?

For those new to the party, the SLOG is an annual block party and running relay race that brings together runners, walkers, spectators, kids, and everyone in between. Participants will be assigned to four-person relay teams, with each runner tackling a 3-mile loop down Centre Street and around Jamaica Pond. Kids can join the fun with various runs, from short sprints to the full 3-mile loop with an adult escort.

But the SLOG isn't just about running – it’s a celebration with food, beverages, and all-around merriment for everyone! Whether you're a runner, a spectator, or just in it for the hot dogs and beer, there's something for everyone.

Special Highlights This Year

This year’s SLOG is dedicated to Zoë Fulton, a beloved member of our community who is heading off to college at the University of Chicago this fall. Zoë has been a part of the SLOG since its inception, and we’re excited to honor her journey and contributions to this cherished event.

We’re also excited to announce some amazing features this year:

• POST Physical Therapy will be offering complimentary sports massages, stretching, and compression wraps for our runners. Their expertise in keeping athletes in top shape has been a local favorite for years.

• Black Cat @ Vee Vee will be providing craft beer. Their Afro/Latin Caribbean menu, led by the talented Chef Valentine Howell, promises to be a treat.

• FOCUS Real Estate is proudly sponsoring the SLOG and, as always, supporting the neighborhood with amenities like the highly sought-after SLÖG porta-potty. Our team has been a part of this community for over 15 years, and we’re excited to continue supporting local events like the SLOG.
