This week, Erik and Randal are back to talk about a program we offer all our home buying clients at Focus Real Estate, the Buyer Priority Access Program. This program was designed to be proactive in the face of a competitive buyer's market. We know that inventory is low, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to find the home of your dream.

Randal:

Welcome back to Stay Focused, Focus Real Estate's weekly video blog. I'm Randal Engelmann.

Erik:

And I'm Erik Gould.

Randal:

Today we'd like to chat with you a little bit about something that we love working with, and it's our Buyer Priority Access Program.

Erik:

It's an exciting name for a project that we have or method we have of matching buyers with sellers. You've heard us say many times before that this is a competitive market for buyers. There's low inventory, and it's challenging for buyers to buy in this market.

Randal:

With 10 and 12 offers placed on practically every listing that comes on, yeah, it gets a little competitive out there.

Erik:

So we have put together this program and have a system to help many of our buyers find properties that are not yet on the market. So things that aren't on MLS aren't on the internet and stuff like that.

Randal:

Yeah, it's fascinating, and we also have plans to then reach out to people as well. We've been proud to be able to place people off-market without all the competition for people that are "Coming Soon"....what are some of the other places that we look?

Erik:

Sellers who don't want to go to market. Buyers sometimes can identify a specific neighborhood, street, or even particular house that they say: "I always love this house. I'd love to live on that street if something ever comes available." We can help buyers.

Randal:
Reach out to your local bold real estate agent that's willing to knock on someone's door and go: "Would you be willing to sell your home? We have somebody that's very interested."

Erik:

"We have the perfect buyer for your home."

Randal:

And it happens!

Erik:

It's more proactive rather than reactive in this rough market for buyers.

Randal:

Yeah, we prefer not just to sit back and wait for things to come onto MLS and come on the Internet, but work and using Erik's words to be proactive in a marketplace where we're actively looking to match buyers and sellers. Perhaps even offline.

Erik:

Right. So that's a brief overview of our Priority Access Program.
